Three observations:
1. Watching so far, it just reinforces something I posted back in the Fall after AAU season, i.e., that this is not a strong class in general at the top. Last year guys like Tatum, Monk, Jackson (Josh) just jumped out at you as can't-miss talents. The announcers seem to agree as well.
2. Porter and Ayton are exceptional talents, but you're not gonna see much out of Ayton tonight unless someone gets him the rock. I've always liked Carter's game but count on that going underdeveloped in Durham (SMH). As for Bamba, his offensive game is still a work in progress and probably won't be seen til he gets to the league, but because of his defensive presence I sure hope Bamba is too smart to go to UK or dook. Texas or Michigan would be fine with me.
3. That Jalek was passed over for this game? GMAFB.

I tried to watch that game, but it was just a series of silly (although some were awesome) passes and dunks. I saw jacked up threes and absolutely no team concept. The exceptions to the highlight rule seemed to be Porter and Knox who actually played a little D! I really hate we had no chance at snagging Porter since he is a coach on the floor with unbelievable athletic gifts. I now want Knox even more since he tried to play real ball in that exhibition atmosphere!

I thought the refs were trying to foul out anyone who even listed UNC so the conspiracy is growing! Matter of fact, Bamba mentioned coaches using ref bias as a negative recruiting tool against UNC!...FACT!

There were not 15 guys better than Jalek on either of these squads. Oh well, carry that chip young man.

I watched it and there sure were some talented players on the floor but as mentioned above, I changed channels too, hard to watch that type of long. As McD's games have become a showcase for some individuals, kids that try to play D or move the ball/share, rebound are almost shunned.
On an aside, there were some spots I thought Kevin looked great.
