I'm not sure how much it matters.
If you're a 2 to 4 year player there, be prepared to watch the games from the bench.
meh maybe, K is going to give minutes to the best but up until this point had played a deeper bench. That being said... The only senior on the team played 38 minutes against BC, sophomore Delaurier played 17 minutes but fouled out, and sophomore Bolden got 8 minutes which probably should have been more but he gets lost on defense and has really slow feet when trying to guard pick and roll. They only have 1 junior on the team and he was a 3 star project player who is behind Bagley, Carter, Delaurier, and Bolden on the depth chart... the rest are freshmen.
There's at least 4-5 of them that get lost on defense so that shouldn't hold Bolden back.
it probably makes you guys think that but some of you all think K is the antichrist anyway. Truth is Bolden was overrated, he was taller than everyone in high school and didn't deal with adversity very well when he was injured last season and had to play guys that were just as tall and more polished. He could be a very good 4 year player if he puts in the effort or he could decide he wants to go to the NBA after this season and get lost in the D league never to be heard from again. Obviously I hope he stays and puts in the work but there have been some rumors that he doesn't even really like basketball that much...
I have no argument with what you are proposing. If he was overrated what does that say about K's talent evaluation? I think K use to recruit a certain type player. One that fit his style of play. I don't think he does anymore. None of the players he has had recently are in the mold of Hurley for example.
But like are you disputing this assertion or nah?

Lol... Yeah he was supposed to be before he ever stepped foot on campus. Not really fair to set some of these expectations on 18 year olds, especially big guys that tend to take longer to develop.
Boldin is no worse on defense than what I've seen from Carter (and Bagley). It's his offense that's far behind those other guys. And that makes sense that he's not playing because K doesn't care about defense anymore. After he retires, he should start coaching EYBL and whatnot. He'd fit right in.

Totally agree. But you can’t have that conversation with many people and not sound like a bitter UNC fan.
It’s fascinating to watch K completely turn his back on everything he’s done to this point.

Wow reading thru that thread again. Mike completely misunderstood my post ridiculing a petition circulated about stephens. Ever since then he has made little or no effort to show his dislike of me, Despite repeated attempts by me to explain the post. i have since had my sig line deleted twice (first one had been up for over 5 yrs) and Been bumped off AT LEAST half a dz threads, once for calling gary a closet dookie, (which of course he does to other posters daily) , lol.

I would prefer to go back to the days where guys stayed more than a year so I didn't have to worry about 4 freshmen starters but it is what it is. For example Gary Trent really should not be in the NBA next year but I see he is listed on nbadraft.net as the 15th pick in the first round. After calming down and kind of looking at the team from a less pissed off mindset... we have 4 freshmen starters, there are going to be stumbles along the road just like there were in 2015 when that team lost back to back ACC games and were blown out a couple times. I think they will figure out the defense, I don't think this will ever be a defensive juggernaut like 2015 UK or anything but they should be able to defend decently. This was a bad coaching job by K and Allen really dropped the ball as well. Bagley took 4 shots in the 2nd half, 3 of them were 3 pointers... that should never happen... and Duke still had the lead with less than 3 minutes left but just executed HORRIBLY to finish the game. So honestly I feel pretty good about the 4 freshmen starters, this is still the only team to beat MSU who has been throttling people ever since.

i don’t, but during roy’s show last saturday morning we saw it and he zeroed in on it..they wore them i think before the western game.

duke fans are quick to remind themselves and others about the 2015 team and attempt to make parallels. But this team is very different. That 2015 team had "program" guys that were a big part of that team. Cook, Jefferson and Jones were all main players in that championship game and their March run. duke doesn't have those "program" guys this year. There's really no upperclassmen leadership. Allen is a senior of course, but he's a poor defender and his checkered past kind of prevents him from being "that guy". Also, that 2015 team had Winslow - a guy that was content to forsake his offense and set the tone defensively and do the garbage work. I don't see any of the duke freshman this year in that light.
I'm certainly not saying that duke can't win the championship this season. I still consider them a favorite. But if they win it, it won't be won the same way the 2015 team won it. This year's team will have to get hot and outscore everybody else because I don't see this team coming together defensively like that 2015 team did.
the 2015 team didn't do it until the NCAA tournament, literally let ND just score at will in the ACC tournament. This Duke team has athletes who play hard but are lacking team defense basketball IQ, IMO they will be better at defense by the end of the year than 2015 Duke was. I think you're underselling Allen's impact a bit and also down playing his defensive ability because you don't like him.
I didn't catch the show. You could try to get in touch with the basketball office. They might be able to tell you where to find one if they are for sale. The UNC equipment staff also has a twitter account. Maybe send them a tweet asking about it.
They've sold them in past seasons. I actually got a pair of the warm up pants one year.
A lot of guys seem to have a hard time getting down the court when he's near them!
I may be thinking of a different article of clothing.
They had a warm-up/pre-game shirt a few seasons back that I really liked, but couldn't find it for sale anywhere. I contacted the Shrunken Head, and whoever I spoke to told me that those were exclusive to the team. I didn't feel like going any further.
They do have team exclusive stuff. Not sure how they decide what to sell to the general public and what not to sell.
i’m not a huge fan of f4 or title gear...i appreciate more the regular stuff they wear, just looks tighter and cleaner.
