They are being boxed and readied for shipment to a 3rd world country as I type.
Duke is pretty poor on D but still probably the best team in the country. There aren't a lot of great teams out there this year either. However, it is nice to see them lose to what is a pretty poor BC team who just lost one of their better players. Should have watched it.
Yeah, he had some kind of ointment on it and it got worse-looking as the game went on.
I assumed BC was a better team, since they played dook so well.

I don't think you can be the best team with a defense as bad as theirs. They may have the best offense in the country though
IU is a much tougher place to play so I don't think that was the issue, poor defense and BC going off from three plus the worst end of game execution I've ever seen is why they lost. Duke was up 4 with like 2 minutes left and just pissed down their leg. Defense has to improve, can't just expect to outscore everyone even if their offense is really good. You guys are welcome for your early Christmas present.
Don't worry. We'll get trounced by Tennessee in Knoxville on 12/17 or get walloped by FSU in Tallahassee on 1/3.
Generally, we're good for a bad, bad loss to an unranked team at home (yes, I know Tennessee is just in the Top 25) per season. Last year was GT.
My betting has been sour lately. Let’s say $100 on that game. I take UNC winning. You know my PayPal.
Tennessee is legit (a good, though undersized, big man, a really good scoring guard named Daniel, and some good athletes all over the court). I've watched most of their games this year. They have some talent and Barnes has given us issues before. We also tend to play terrible right after exams. They are apparently going to checkerboard the stadium, which will be cool. I have a golfing buddy who is also a UNC fan going to the game and I almost went with him but have a ton of crap to do this weekend so didn't. I am kind of pissed at myself for not trying to go anyway to add another UNC fan to the mix there.

I ventured over to radar for the first time in a few days and the first thing I see is a thread about the ref in the title game from 2016 that "screwed us." Can't make this stuff up.
That's because Gare-bear has declared Michael Stephens the anti-Christ despite his "research" on the subject being completely and totally wrong.
I forgot about that one. I just don't understand having an obsession over a ref. It's one thing to complain about a ref during the game, but when someone is keeping up with refs when they aren't even calling a UNC game then they are nuts.
Apparently they are UNC fans too, although I don't consider some of those people on radar to be a normal UNC fan or at least not a rational one. Every fan base has them though. I'll agree that UK has more than most. Apparently a UK fan on RR has wished that someone would get AIDS. Classy.
I wonder if @strummingram gets a "quoted poast" notification every time GSD poasts since he has a strum quote in his sig.

I would think if Roy felt he was getting hosed every time a certain ref called a game he could do something about it. When I was coaching baseball in NC I could blackball an umpire, in fact I did. You would think college BB coaches could do the same.
I'm sure it would be a high priority discussion topic in the super secret Ram's Club meetings as well.

I had no idea they start 4 freshman! So k has over recruited basically the entire team except for the dirty player? A team that has several top ten classes on its roster? Well a couple things;
1. Thats gotta be bad for morale. So long ss they win they’ll be fine. But to wait years to play only to get benched for not one but FOUR frosh has got to sting. Any rough stretches will expose some hard feelings and it’ll be the 4 frosh vs everyone. And there wont be leadership by example from the dirty player.
C. You cant win a natty with 4 frosh starters. U just cant. I dont know whats the most frosh starters a title team has had. Does anyone? How many did ky have last time they won? I know dook had 2. I would be shocked if ANYONE had 3, nevertheless 4.
Duke won the 2015 title with 3 freshmen starters. Jones, Winslow, Okafor.
At recruiting them yes, at teaching them how to play defense.... not so much.
