I have zero questions about Berry's effort. He has not been as good on D the last few games though. He gets lost off the ball and wants to pressure too close at times which leads to penetration. Mainly, it is an off the ball thing for me. He just struggles there. I mean, everyone struggles in one area or another. However, I'm also on the record as saying Berry could pretty much dribble off his feet every game and he will still go down as one of my all time favorites because he has done enough to warrant as much leniency as anyone.
Also, with the game on the line there is no one else I would rather take the big three or shot in general. He may miss it but I want him taking it.

Yeah, as mentioned, Joel CANNOT afford to get into foul trouble. If he isn't as aggressive on D as he could be, I can forgive that. He is so crucial to our team, and obviously paid attention to Marcus, because he's become our closer in the 2nd half.
I think "should" is probably too strong of a word. Honestly, you probably shouldn't since the same people who post on here are the same people who run it.

Yes, I know Joel Berry's credentials and his resume, but beyond him, we've got: the permanently overachieving Luke Maye, Cam Johnson who is a solid ball player, but let's not pretend he's a future NBA starter, and who else?? We lovingly call Theo a "Swiss Army Knife," but that's a polite way of saying he's not great at any one thing. The frosh are still very green, espeically Jalek who can't even get minutes. We have no inside presence (yet) and we have no scoring off the bench.
We have all those issues and yet we've only lost 4 times, and we're ranked in the Top 15 of the country, and we have more wins against RPI Top 50 (?) than anyone else, or whatever the stat is. I think we have some deep-seeded issues that will come home to roost when all is said and done as the calendar turns to March, but for right now, I think we are really overachieving right now.

Well, I think in order to overachieve you need to beat teams that you shouldn't beat. So far I haven't seen that happen. We've lost to every team we should lose to, at least on paper. I think our ranking is too high considering our record, but that's the benefit of being a blue blood. We have individuals who you could say are overachieving, but as a team we are about where I expected.

Ehh, we know preseason polls mean nothing, so that's not a good barometer (IMO)
Yeah I guess I can see your point, but this is quite a flawed team (no inside presence besides Maye) so I still think they're playing a bit above their talent.
We kept the Clemson streak alive this season. Everything else is gravy. This was never going to be a tourney threat team. Bradley leaving made that impossible. I do hope those freshman bigs get better faster.
They definitely have their flaws, but individual talent and team talent are two different things. On paper last year's team wasn't extremely talented individually. As a team they were able to minimize a lot of the flaws and had experience. I'm not saying that this team is as good as last years, but we've been able to overcome the flaws (inexperience and lack of production down low) with the strengths (experienced backcourt with better than normal deep shooters). Ultimately I think this is a team that can make it to the sweet 16, but that's about it.
Have to give a tip of the cap for squeezing so many cliches into one sentence. If only you could have gotten "at the end of the day" in there. But nicely done nonetheless.

The only Duke - Carolina game I've attended to this day is the Austin Rivers game. Sensitive subject for me. Still can't forgive Zeller for biting on that drive fake and not staying tight on AR.

When I think about all the hated dookies, probably the only one that I would literally want to punch in the face is rivers. And it's not even for that shot*, although that certainly makes me want to punch him even harder.

Pretty sure he meant freshman of the year. Kid was/is a douchebag that did not get along with a lot of his teammates but he did hit one pretty cool shot so GFY.

For the record, that game meant squat (so you can GFY @tw3301 ). We still won the ACC reg season by beating the shit out of duke at their place in the season finale. We also made the final game of the ACC tournament and probably win that game if Henson (2 time ACC DPOY) had played (and if Roy had cared). We lost a close one. And then duke went on to embarrass themselves in the NCAA tourney against Lehigh and well, you know what happened to us...the whole Creighton, Stllman White, Kansas thing.
I reckon if I had been there I might feel a bit differently. But in the grand scheme, it was no skin off our nose.
Also, don't look now, but Keatts has Moo potentially in the NCAAT if Selection Sunday were today
