Started really slow out of the gate, particularly Luke who went full "Monstars stole my talent" for the first 6-8 minutes. They came out hot, but I thought they might given it's their first ever tournament game and they are facing the defending champs. Once we got settled, we controlled the game pretty well. Kenny and Theo had major games, with Joel coming up with big plays when we needed them. The play when he chased down that loose ball and turned it into a fast break is the type of play he makes a lot and as someone alluded to, it's why he's a champion. His will to win carried us at times in the second half. Ok, now that I went full G7 there, we have got to take better care of the ball if we want to keep playing in this tournament. We had too much talent for Lipscomb to handle, but giving the ball away almost 20 times will cost good teams more often than not (and there were a few shots early on that might as well have been turnovers as ill advised as they were). Overall, happy to get this win and keep playing, but we have got to be more mindful with the ball.
