I love Kenny Williams. He's the perfect representative of what this program is all about.
I am humbled by this group! Hard to believe how far they have come in the conference play. I never thought any of the present success level was possible without that natural 5 position player.
They've now elevated expectations even more. I dunno how the tournaments will play-out. I keep thinking there has to be a "grounding loss" before a tourney run. But, I'm certainly not a sage or a basketball authority of any kind.
I'll just enjoy it.

i honestly think the louisville loss was it...think about it, they should’ve beat uva.
i don’t care about the acct anymore...perhaps a loss there, but this team is at least a #2 seed and can make a f4...coby white looks fearless and brooks is huge right now, tough on the glass...and we’re defending, who knew!?!?!?!?

I wonder what the loss of Bolden means for the dookies and their tournament prospects.
I think that loss was probably the UVA game. That was a game we probably should have won, but we let it slip away. I fully expect Roy's apathy for the ACCT to cost us one more game. I'll trade it for a national championship though.
Possibly. It may just be a feeling I have. And, it may happen in the ACCT. From what I can tell, we'll probably have to play the dookies again.
This is an interesting team. If you think about Roy’s title teams, there were always a few guys that we knew had to produce. But this is a team that can afford to have a few guys not show up any given night and still get a W. By my count we’ve got at least 6 guys who could put up 20 against anyone (Coby, Cam, Luke, Brooks, Nas, Kenny).
As much as it would suck, if we lose in the ACCT, that might bode well for the Heels. Roy hasn’t won an ACCT and natty in the same year.
I gotta say... I listened to COach K's post-game PC and I was actually impressed with his humility and his props to our team.

Yeah... and, he keeps saying Zion "still needs conditioning." I saw him during the game. He popped up and I even saw Jason Garrett behind him in the stands! That kid isn't hurt. Bolden was hurt much worse. And, Bolden getting hurt possibly reminded Mama and Daddy Zion that this team isn't a paying gig.
I'm really starting to think that maybe he has given his notice. It kinda seems like it's a constant placate-the-media and hope they don't catch-on before it becomes too obvious. I could be wrong. I thought perhaps K was sandbagging and Zion would play tonight. I just have serious doubts that he is hurt that bad.
Okay... yeah, he said "gettin' in game shape." Maybe he does play Thursday. If you guys have to play without Zion and Bolden, you can pack-up and go home.
Even “just” being an MCL sprain, it looked way worse than zions injury. But other things are at play with Zion , parents, draft.

I don't think it was Coby. He really sounded like he just really misses having those senior playmakers like Cam, Kenny and Luke. He's the one that decided to go the UK route, so I don't feel sorry for him. I just got the feeling he's regretting it.
I gotta believe that, too. No more solemnity on senior night with his usual sets of 3 or 4 soldiers like Singler, Scheyer, Smith, Curry, in more recent years (like, in the last 10 years). Going back even further to Wojo and Collins, and further to Laettner and Hurley. He built his legacy on those teams, on 4-year players. THAT was brotherhood. it's hard to form any kind of brotherhood in a matter of 3 months. You form one, sure. But, it's not like you would from 4 YEARS! Or, even 2-3 years! Now, his teams are getting tons of press and coverage on ESPN. But, look at the cost. A string of teams that have no identity anymore.
In contrast, I look at UNC's former players that went early. I look at Kendall Marshall, for example. I wonder if he has regrets about the college legacy and experience he missed out on. I'm glad he's back as a coach. I'm glad to see any former player come to the coaching staff. I have my fingers crossed that one day Luke Maye will be on the staff!
I would LOVE to see OAD players slip out of the scene of college basketball. I have no doubt that the players that would fill rosters will be just as fulfilling to fan bases as they ever were. I don't need to see Zion-level talent to enjoy the games. I never did. I can't play basketball for shit! I experience it through their abilities, so the bar is very low!
