Was driving almost all day. Changing it now.
Yeah, road wins in the ACC have been few and far between this year. And 3 of our first 4 games have been on the road. This year you have to hold serve at home and steal a few on the road.

We don't win without a big game from the Gentle Giant, especially with Luke and Isaiah with 4 fouls and Tony unavailable.
Speaking of Tony, if he does have a concussion and can't play Saturday, our chances of beating FSU drop significantly. Hope he's okay.

I didn't get to see the game, but Kennedy's stats look good. Can someone tell me how many of his boards were off his own misses though? He always seems to get 4-5 of those a game (generally in one or two possessions).

Kennedy was great last night. Wake had a monster in the middle that was giving UNC fits but Meeks did a good job of using the basket and fakes to avoid eating everything he put up.
He only had 3 offensive rebounds. One of those was a 3-point miss by JBII that Meeks tried to tip in but missed (JJ cleaned it up). The other was off a 3-point miss by JJ that Meeks did tip back in. Not sure, but the third one might have come when he got his shot blocked. He had a couple shots blocked -- seems he always does -- but like heelbent said did a pretty good job not letting it become a problem. Also made a few nice cuts and nice passes that led to points. Good game for him.
By the way, with UNC only up 3 and under 3 minutes remaining, JBII drove to the basket and clearly, clearly traveled. Not called by the officials and UNC got a huge bucket there.

Question: Why is it the FSUs and Wakes of the world have these 7'4 monsters to throw against our bigs and UNC can't seem to sign anyone that even likes the dunk shot? What gives? I don't believe there's not a single one of those guys out there that would come here. Does Roy just choose not to recruit those types or what?

Don't matter. Because you know Dean and Roy tell our bigs NOT to dunk anyway.
Wake is such a waste of space in modern college football/basketball. The school and its fanbase, I mean, not necessarily how good or bad they are.
I'd swap them out for ANYONE with a 55,000+ capacity football stadium.

Yeah but the SEC can absorb a Vanderbilt because of the size of the conference's other schools. The ACC already struggles for schools with big fanbases, not even counting Wake Forest. Even the flagship state universities the ACC has -- UVA and UNC -- are tiny, relative to peer flagship schools like Ohio State, Michigan, Georgia, Alabama, Texas, etc.
Even if it's less than half full? I hear UAB is coming back on the market....
I used to work with a woman who was on the Wake dance team. Smoke show.
One of my favorite teachers in school was a wake fan and alumni. Every time UNC beat them in any sport I would print out the box score and tape it to his door.
I used to have a neighbor that played basketball for them way back in the mid 60's. Dude was nearly 7 ft. But other than that, I don't know if I can recall anyone that I knew being a Wake fan.
I grew up in Wake Forest in the 70s and 80s. I knew lots of folks who were fans, but they were all old folks who were there when the University was in town. My grandparents were big time WFU fans and my great, great Uncle on my fathers side went to Law School there. But all of the younger folks were split between UNC and moo. WFU had no appeal to us.
See I just feel bad for Wake Forest. It's been forever since they've been good.
