I love our bracket and think it's the easiest of the 4. UConn seems to have gotten a raw deal, which of course I'm happy to see. Purdue's top half is easy, bottom is tough.
yah, i’m pulling for mich st…i want no part of hubbard and those grown ass men on that team.I don’t even think Mich state beats miss st. But I think to beat this msu team to go to s16 is something I’d sure sign up for. Most metrics show Mich st has no business being in the tourney, let alone an 8 seed.
have you heard about this thing called a 'jinx' ?There’s only been 10 upsets in rd of 16 with never more than one in a tourney
Considering the message board chatter indicated a lot of confidence in bringing in Billy Donovan or Dan Hurley or someone of that stature, it will be interesting to see how quickly the wrath of BBN comes down on the new guy.BBN putting on a brave front to be excited about their new coach. By the time I came here to post it I had forgotten his name. He led byu to 19 wins I think. An alum at least. And a Mormon. So they gonna reel in some white guys.

Their message board was a fun read over the last week. After the happiness from firing Cal it went to shock someone would turn them down, to disbelief that two people would turn them down, to acceptance they were slipping, to WTF with the hire, to he's an alumni so he's great (aka UNC mode).BBN putting on a brave front to be excited about their new coach. I expect him to be there 3-4 years.Considering the message board chatter indicated a lot of confidence in bringing in Billy Donovan or Dan Hurley or someone of that stature, it will be interesting to see how quickly the wrath of BBN comes down on the new guy.

That could be a team you love to watch (if Jalen Washington and Zaden really blossom, Jae'lyn finds some consistency), or it could be a team that leads to fall & winter alcohol abuse and weight gain.RJ

Lubin is essentially taking Bacot's minutes. It's not going to impact those guys.Lots of posters are refreshing home-pages the last few weeks looking for news regarding Lubin, Ugonna U, and Coleman Hawkins and anyone else. Imagine what is going thru the head of Withers, Washington and High!
a) One more frontcourt addition and those dude's opportunity is getting further decimated.
b) Perhaps they don't care about their own development and just want to be on a winning team ASAP, in which case they're saying the more the merrier.
I think fans probably fall into similar buckets of "win now, use that wallet" versus "enjoying long-term team and player development". Former are NY Yankees fans, NTTIAWWT
I'd be happy to swap brackets with UConn.I love our bracket and think it's the easiest of the 4. UConn seems to have gotten a raw deal, which of course I'm happy to see. Purdue's top half is easy, bottom is tough.
He'll get there.jackson is not comfortable lol…this isn’t an nba showcase.
Once he figures it out - and I'd bet it's sooner rather than later, he's going to average 15ppg in his sleep. He reminds me a lot of Joe Forte, can just score from any level and has so many ways to beat you. Until then, yeah, it's gonna be ugly at times.jackson is not comfortable lol…this isn’t an nba showcase.
I would dearly love to see us with a clone of Forte.Once he figures it out - and I'd bet it's sooner rather than later, he's going to average 15ppg in his sleep. He won't, but I hope we get him for 2 seasons. He can replace the scoring we lose from RJ.
i tend to agree, it was just wild to watch…forte is a good comparison…while forte was smooth af, jackson looks more powerful and seems to play with an edge(much needed)…can’t wait to see this team in january.Once he figures it out - and I'd bet it's sooner rather than later, he's going to average 15ppg in his sleep. flagg is a problem, like barnes was a problem.
I've purposely watched him now and he's every bit as good as the hype. They'll be times he'll fade and make mistakes (such as the turnovers at the very end), but he deserves the attention. He's that good. What's crazy is he doesn't even turn 18 until just before Christmas.flagg is a problem, like barnes was a problem.
the cynical joke is to not pick one team or the other but to wish for the arena to collapse. One note as an aside: games like last night always present a challenge for me until they invent a way for both teams to lose.
Claude. He'd foul out fast covering Flagg, but might wear him down enough that Withers could handle him the rest of the way.Not sure who we’ve got that can guard him at all… Withers? Drake?
Remember the good ole days when your opponent had a talent like Flagg so you put in some nimrod to burn 5 fouls and hammer the fuk outta him?flagg is a problem, like barnes was a problem.
Or maybe the really good ole days when you'd put somebody on him that could . . . . just cover him?Remember the good ole days when your opponent had a talent like Flagg so you put in some nimrod to burn 5 fouls and hammer the fuk outta him?
Lol no dude you had to wear him down. Put him on the floor a couple times. Dean wouldn’t go for such but my high school coach did. We played north buncombe and they had this player Jimmy Denton who was all everything but was soft. We put a big football player guy on him who loved to get dirty and coach told him every time he drove to hammer him. He fouled out but the damage was done. Jimmy shot jumpers rest of the game and we won. Uva back in the 70’s had a player they put in to do that. I think his name was Hatcher.Or maybe the really good ole days when you'd put somebody on him that could . . . . just cover him?
both would frustrate him, but withers, right? Not sure who we’ve got that can guard him at all… Withers? Drake?
