The Skins just cut leading tackler Mason Foster today, they drafted Holcombe in the 5th round and they have raved about his athleticism since day 1 of OTAs I expect him to be on the opening day roster

And there were more than a few UNC posters who named him when they would get around to discussing how bad the D was.

Holcomb was our best all around player on D for 3 years.

Probably my favorite player on last year’s team. I love the overachievers like him and Luke. Both will be missed by their respective teams this year.

Shows how hard it is to judge talent when they are on a bad team, like Cam Akers with fsu's OL.

Holcomb is an elite athlete but not a good football player. Zero feel for the game and terrible instincts. That's why despite his natural gifts, he was constantly making contact 5 or 6 yards downfield, always getting knocked back even when making a tackle, and brutal in space and coverings backs out of the backfield. If he had Schottemer's football IQ he might have been an All American but unfortunately for him he's on the opposite end of the spectrum. He may make the roster as a special teams guy due to that athleticism but he won't play meaningful defensive snaps, ever.

He will be a strong special teams player and might get some time as a back up LB. His natural talents cover up a lot of mental mistakes.

You’ve said this before but if Schott had Cole’s athleticism, he’d be an All Pro
