And Barnes turned it down. For whatever reason (unfinished business, camaraderie with teammates, love of college life, etc) Barnes felt compelled to come back. Nas could too.
Lol. Bc of fear of the NBA lockout is the reason Barnes came back.

Link or it didn't happen.
Bradley got drafted in the first round and didn't even get 15 mpg. Nas will get 20-25. If he's not OAD, it will be because he ended up not performing up to expectations. It won't be because of Roy.
I don't even think Roy could hold Nas back enough to keep him out of the lottery.
I agree him not performing up to expectations could be a reason for him not going OAD. But there’s also the possibility that he doesn’t get the minutes/opportunity to show that he is up to expectations. I realize a lot of NBA GMs look past the shortcomings of a player caused by system/opportunity, but it still could be a hindrance.
Bradley was drafted in the late 20s, who knows, if he had played 25-30 mins a night, maybe he would have been higher. There’s the chance that if the same thing happens with Naz, he decides, “well, #28 isn’t good enough for me to leave school, and next year I won’t have the dreaded ‘Fr.’ before my name, so I’ll get the burn I need to show out and put myself in the lottery”
I'm not saying that wasn't a factor, and he obviously stayed, but I do think if the lockout hadn't happened, we might have seen him go after one if he was a lock for top 5 (which is what Roy said was the case). It worked out well for all concerned, and I'm happy with the course that transpired, just was providing an article."I feel that going to college another year won't hurt my draft stock, and it will probably help it, actually," Barnes says. "It'd be different if everyone jumped ship and I was returning to a team that wasn't going to be in the top 25. We have an opportunity to compete for a national championship."

Not sure what you mean by"true OAD," but Marvin was certainly a no doubt OAD.Little is a One And Done, no doubt about it.
I'm interested to see how well he actually works in Roy's system. I think Little qualifies as the only true OAD player he has ever had.
You used to get tons of them. So did Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, etc. Only they used to stay at least 3 years. Now Syracuse has a guy going straight to the G league out of high school to make what... $30k max?Little is a One And Done, no doubt about it.

Plus a chance at endorsement money. I'm hoping the NCAA will wise up and go to the Olympic model after this FBI stuff. That would make too much sense, so they probably won't do it.You used to get tons of them. So did Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, etc. Only they used to stay at least 3 years. How much endorsement money is he really going to get though? If he was playing on televised games I would understand a bit but he isn't and he isn't a big name like some others.Plus a chance at endorsement money. Weeeelll, Marvin wasn't recruited and expected to be a OAD from the get-go, was he? That was also 13-14 years ago (damn). I don't remember Marvin Williams' recruitment all that well, because, at that time, I wasn't as tuned-in to the off-season stuff. I might have known who was supposed to return, and maybe who the new recruits were, but I probably didn't pay attention to their details a great deal. Not sure what you mean by"true OAD," but Marvin was certainly a no doubt OAD.
Nah... it's going to change. It has to. The NCAA looks like such hypocrites already. They need to just man-up and realize that they can't be millionaires and still have "amateur" athletics. They made it into the NON-amateur entity that it is now.Plus a chance at endorsement money. I'm hoping the NCAA will wise up and go to the Olympic model after this FBI stuff. Well, Nike and Adidas seem to think $100,000 is a good amount. You're right about him not being as big of a name, but he'll get plenty of attention now that he is the first to do it. People are going to be interested to see how it goes. He'll probably end up with a Facebook show soon. How much endorsement money is he really going to get though? It has never been "amateur" athletics and will never be. Everyone knows that, but the ncaa doesn't want to admit it. I'm hoping they will change, but I see nothing in their past to suggest they will do what's right for the athletes.Nah... it's going to change. It has to. The NCAA looks like such hypocrites already. $25,000 for a kid out of high school to play a sport... Not a bad deal for a year if he didn’t feel like going to classYou used to get tons of them. Meh, a lot more chances to get exposed too. Talent in the g league is better than what he would face in college with a few exceptions. Games aren't televised, facilities aren't as nice, you ride a bus to games instead of flying... I just don't think it's a great idea. Now if he wanted to go to Europe and get paid I'd understand but still have the opportunity to get exposed.$25,000 for a kid out of high school to play a sport... Charles Scott was elected to the Hall of Fame today, becomes the 10th Tar Heel to do so
Too bad this Nova/KU game sucks.
I hope so. Anything to make it watchable! So Kansas got a dose of 08, anyone think that Nova will get a dose of 16?

I'm going to pass on Nova and Michigan. I don't have anything against those two, but they don't make me want to watch the game.I hope so. Anything to make it watchable!

Idk if I’ll watch or not but I’ll bet it.
Nova -6.5 right now. Prob best to bet early I figure it’ll move by tomorrow. What is the line?
Win for the ACC I guess. Not necessarily related to us, but Notre Dame just won the women’s title on a crazy buzzer beater
#bandwagonNotre Dame took down the mighty UCLA 40+ years ago. I actually like ND. I liked them a lot more before they joined the ACC. It's not as easy to like them now. But, I still have an IRISH sweatshirt that I wear occasionally.
