I bet dan kane is real busy investigating this moo story. He seems to be an NCAA expert.
This is priceless. The kid doesn't want to play for them, so they go the worst possible route and offer him money to play for their school. And, what did they get in return? More losses to Carolina and an indictment in a national sports scandal. It's like lyrics to a parody song that came true.
Only at moo could something like that happen. ESPN should do a 30 for 30 on how inept moo's athletic department is.

Is there any reason to be concerned about Nassir Little's involvement in this situation? Apparently the criminal complaint states that no money changed hands even though Adidas tried to steer him to Miami.

This encapsulates my feelings as well. Still love having them in the conference though. They're a blue collar school and fanbase that is a nice change of pace from schools like Virginia, Duke, and well.... us, to be honest. Plus, I like strippers.

I'm with @TarHeelNation11 on this one. I wanted Roy to pull the offer as soon as the report came out. Even if the money didn't change hands, him and/or his parents were supposedly involve in requesting it. I don't want anyone on the team who's willing to do that. If he's willing to do it then, why wouldn't he be willing to do it while he's in college. I think it's better to be safe than sorry after everything UNC went through the last 5 years.
I'm on record as wishing Roy and Little had never crossed paths. I'm not a fan of OAD players at all.
You guys are overreacting in my opinion. Little is literally too good to not want or have. He was cleared in this whole thing. Fact is, we need a recruit of his caliber.
Plus if he doesn't play I don't get to pick @gunslingerdick out an avatar. I might be the biggest Little fan in the country.
Not sure what you mean by cleared, but his parents have been accused of being involved in this. Why take the chance that he won't be offered money while he's here? The NCAA would absolutely kill us if that happened. It was clear that they wanted to hammer us before. We don't need to give them a reason to do so. I'd be willing to bet that we could survive this season without Little.
No K is going to force Carter to come back so he doesn't need to force Carey to reclassify and force Bolden to transfer.
They'd only take away the wins. They couldn't do anything else since we weren't the ones who were going to pay him.
So you got nothing? I’m not in the “Kay forces players to ...” camp btw. I was legit asking.
It's possible that's all they could do, but in reality who really knows what they will do. UL just got a title taken away and a large fine because of a hooker. But even if all they took away were the wins, why would he be worth it? It's not like we would go winless without him. Do you really want to go through all of that again so we can get five more wins? The risk is greater than the reward.
This will sound very cliche, but I trust Roy on this one. I don’t think he’d have Little on the team if he felt there was anything that could get us in trouble.
I would normally agree with you, but to my knowledge Roy doesn't have access to FBI case files. For all we know there is a tape of Little asking for the money.
I trusted Roy when he said nothing would come out of the previous allegations, and I trust Roy now. Roy has always been careful with recruits (not dealing with handlers, etc.), so if he thinks Little is good to go, then bring him on.
I have no doubt that the risk/reward factor is in the "NOT" category! This trail of responses in the thread are because of DSJ and being paid and how poorly that reflects on NCSMoo. So, WHY would anyone want to get anywhere NEAR that kind of headline? Are you used to being under investigation so much that it's all you know? I can assure you that I would decline every OAD player- I don't care if he's Kareem-Magic-Michael Curry- every... single... time! What's the point? If you're going to get popped for violation of the rules? It's stupid to me.
Find a kid that has potential, and mold him (or them) like good college programs are known for doing.
Does that mean from this point forward you will trust Roy to do what’s right for the program?

If you do not believe this is unc rolling over and providing all this info, I have some beachfront property in Arizona to sell you. They know where all the bodies are buried, are pros at the paying the players game, and have specifically targeted this investigation for their revenge tour. And who has more connections and influence in government and NCAA than they? They are not in control of it, but with information provided by them and cohorts they can specifically direct where it leads. Remember, this all started with the unc football investigation. They've been bleachbitting and shredding ever since while everyone else was trying to play catchup unawares the whole time they were feeding the FBI leads. That coincidentally involve Adidas schools and primarily the one school causing them the most problems. NIKE rules the paying for players game. But they investigate Adidas? It's so obvious it's laughable.

I never have not trusted Roy. I don’t always agree with every decision he makes, but that doesn’t mean I don’t think he’s a brilliant coach and the right man to lead us.
