If we can grab Jordan Brown then we'll have 3 5star recruits in the same class for the first time since 2006 (which became the 09 natty).
If we opt for SKJ, you can almost count him as a 5 star coming in for 2 years in 2019.
I think I'd rather have SKJ. My reasons for this are as follows:
1 - Brown might fancy himself better than he is. He is not a OAD kid. IMO, no where close. But he might think he is or think he's close. And if he does, it might make coaching him more difficult. He might want to show his NBA chops when Roy just wants him to do this or that. SKJ will come in looking to play a role - any role after being in Cal's doghouse for 2 years. SKJ seems like he's ready to completely sellout for the program and do whatever Roy asks him to do.
2 - Age. I'd rather have a 22 year old junior than an 18 year old freshman. They're more mature, and most likely, better decision makers. And they usually are more competent in social settings which would most likely mean they're better teammates.
3 - Experience. SKJ would have played 2 years in the SEC and practiced 1 year in our system. Brown comes in completely cold.
4 - Humility. SKJ has been humbled by his experience. He'll understand he has top work hard. That's always a gamble with freshman.
5 - It would piss off UK fans to no end if SKJ came here and had a great last 2 years.
