I guess they have to show some tacit, token appreciation for Coach K in his swan song tour.
I wouldn't put the IQ of sportswriters up there with rocket surgeons. Through the years I have consistently noticed that one sportswriter will feed off the others...if the subject is reputed to be the best, a sportswriter will tend to support the notion rather than challenge it or come up with something original. That's why these things are farces that I pay little or no attention to.
That's true. However, those awards, and the All-American status, can play pretty heavily in a person's career. For example, you get a jersey in the rafters and the dean dome. Not to mention whatever variable could affect your professional career. I just didn't know what it was about bandero but it made him an All-American level player as opposed to a myriad of other players in the ACC. He didn't get player of the Year in the Atlantic Coast conference. And I'm not sure I agree with the player of the year in that category either. No, I'm actually sure I don't agree with it
Watching these first 4 games is tough with Avery Johnson announcing. Not my favorite.

Well liking the ladies is something we have in common.. but regardless she was still looking good on the show.

in another post in some thread I can't recall, I said pretty much the same thing, I think regarding Armando not getting POY. These awards/rankings, etc., have little merit, but they do leave a mark.
It just seems that Avery speaks a different English that I am use to hearing.

My favorite line mine had was after an ugly win. "Boy's, she ain't pretty, but she's got big tit's". I used it for years, but I coach girls now so that kind of talk is frowned upon.

Would’ve really liked to see Hubert expand the rotation way earlier. Especially since Baylor is also short on numbers. That said, these guys should be in good enough shape to bounce back in 48 hours. Would’ve really sucked if someone took a cheap shot though.

so will letting Armando Bacot walk at will. I'm not complaining, but one time I counted four steps and they showed him another time taking three (which of course goes uncalled a lot). I kind of sympathize with Smart over shitty officiating although that works both ways and Marquette has no reason to complain overall, but I wonder just what in the hell Love does to make opponents want to wrestle with him. I Love it.

i don’t mind the shot clock on the court…imo, that subtlety is cool compared to the outlandish color scheme themed courts of just five years ago.
also, why would any college or professional basketball coach wear a suit or sport coat anymore?…i feel like basketball is such tracksuit sport nowadays.

The shot clock doesn't bother me either. Especially since it doesn't show up until the 15 second mark. Wearing suits on the sidelines has never made sense to me. I won't go as far as a tracksuit though.
team issued warm-ups are also acceptable.
hope coach kay has a nice blue suit for his funeral sunday
I think what Hubert and the staff wear is perfect. Kinda like a business casual thing. And I really need to find the pullover with the foot on it. Been looking, but haven't found it
is this team issued gear?…i’ve stated before that if carolina or any school allowed fans access to this stuff it sell better than that fans edge s…put in the pool for the nil.
i buy the shooter shirts when i see ones i like…don’t care for “ball in” though.
