I didn't say that, but one of the preseason goals of the team and most fans was to win the ACC Reg season title.
It will be disappointing if that doesn't happen, to me at least.
Clemson plays against Miami next, then @ UNC. With games @ UVA and @ State still on the schedule.
Carolina needs the Puff injury problems resolved ASAP. Puff allows us to play against multiple styles defensively.
We can guard bigger teams with Bacot and Nance or Washington, but at times Nance and Washington are not able to track mobile 4' s.
If Puff is unavailable then Leaky or Nickel play the four spot and Dunn possibly plays the 3.
I hope Nickel gets an opportunity tonight vs Pitt.
On Sat vs Dook, we can get by with Nance and Washington guarding Filipowski or Lively.
The remaining schedule is a daunting task for this team. I can only see possibly two wins that I feel “pretty” good about us being able to get. The rest are toss ups. The next four are gonna really be a test and we could lose each one. Time for another late season run (fingers crossed)
Eerily similar situation to last year at this juncture of the season. They have plenty of work to do at this point, need to find that gear down the stretch again.

Miami might be playing the best basketball of any team in the conference at this stage of the season. They are undersize, but are extremely athletic with Wong having a good season. Expect Duke to fall even farther with a game upcoming at VA.
Miami thumps Duke and we lost by 6 to Duke.. Is Carolina ever going to wake up and find their swag??
Duke like Carolina are not very good road team, both struggle to win on the road. Miami went into Clemson and thumped them, that is something that neither of these team would be able to accomplish. It finally dawn on me, here it's February with both Duke and Carolina fighting for an NCAA tournament bid. 👀👀👀👀👀
Nigel Pack has been the revelation for me. I liked him in high school, but the little fella has really blown up. Wong is the star no doubt, but he has been a bit up and down. Pack has been eye opening to me.
@dtodd4475 I was thinking about Nigel Pack last year while watching Purdue implode at pg with Eric Hunter Jr.
I think Pack would have put Purdue over the top with Ivy, Edy, Travian and company.
Ivy did his best Caleb Love impressions whenever Purdue was down and desperate like in the St Peters game.
So both dook and carolina have looked unlike typical dook and carolina teams who has more problems? I say dook especially since they have 5* talent and Mickey ds all over the court we have been this bad for the past few years. Just gonna say without superb talent to hide ineffective coaching it is hard to watch this train wreck.
I mean they traded Cam to the Nets for Durant so his numbers for the sun's are probably obsolete lol.

Yes, Michigan is a 3 point favorite, I'm betting the u der though...lol. Huge game for for them as they are tier 1 win hurting for their resume much like us.
Not sure if it fits best here - more about a guy than a game, but I think Wojo from Duke is a decent college bb commentator. Overpronounces and speaks a bit slow a bit of the time, but you can tell he has practiced a lot being on tv and presenting.
He is knowledgeable and not smug or cocky or a Duke only lover. Objective and makes smart, non-empty comments. Miles ahead of some other guys like Jay Williams, Seth Davis, etc. I couldn’t stand him as a player but I’m ok with him as an announcer and when he was a coach too. So much more humility and less bias than most past Duke players as coaches or announcers.

Not that it breaks my heart given the near countless games where home officiating has helped Duke over the years - but Duke got screwed pretty hard at end of game at least. It seemed the Duke guy was fouled before clock went to 0 but they said it was after 0. I get that it’s a hard call to make in a hostile arena. 💯 it is called the other way of in Durham.
And - UVA is just so annoying in how they play and junk up the games. Their method of play is effective I guess in the ACC but if they end up as a 2 or 3 seed it wouldn’t surprise me to see them not make the second weekend.
