OOTB Carolina Basketball Discussion Thread

It’s actually not that hard to break the tarsals in your hands and feet. Just need to hit them the right way. I’ve broken both my foot and hand in surprisigly easy fashion. No other broken bones than those

He claims he wasnt mad but then says it happened cause he hates to lose. So which was it?

I think he can playfully hit something out of frustration. Not sincere anger. I don’t think he flat out punched the door or the break would be worse.

Yeah, I tried a flop shot over a tree with a PW a couple of months ago. It made it but had a little draw on it and ended up in a bunker. We were all just kind of messing around that day and so I threw my PW and 9 iron down in kind of mock frustration. I wasn't happy it wasn't on the green but wasn't really pissed either. Just kind of messing around while at the same time not glad in the shot. PW hit the 9 just perfectly I guess and broke the club in half. I could see something like that. I could also see him running with that story just because, lol.

agreed. I had a 68 degree club made for shots where i'm completely tree ****ed next to the green, use it like twice a year at most but it's pretty crazy to take a full swing and hit a ball 30 yards max.... just don't hit it thin.

A draw on a flop shot?? Wow.

I was way too far out for that.

I used to have a 68 as well. It had a funny name, like a catch phrase for a name or something. Through the green or something like that. I also once had a 48 inch long 5* driver. I've bought some absurd clubs. I've recently also owned this huge pink putter called The Cure, which allowed you to change the lie angle and also the weight from something like 340 grams to 600 grams or something like that. Couldn't make it work for me though.

So I have a friend who was in Chapel Hill for that coaches clinic last weekend. We played golf today and he shared some of his experiences with me. I thought one would be appreciated by some here. Roy was talking about his TO philosophy and when he mentioned the reasons for calling them my buddy said 'or lack thereof' under his breath. He thought he was quiet enough were no one could hear. So when Roy was talking he said something about why he calls timeouts when he does or 'lack thereof as this gentleman would say' and pointed at my buddy, haha.

No offense to your buddy but

Just listened to Gary Parrish (the guy who broke the story). Pastner is going to be fine.

Toddric Jackson and Josh Okogie will have to pay back the dollar amounts (and may be suspended), but that will be the end of it.

This is what I meant to poast here:

https://northcarolina.forums.rivals.com/threads/trevon-duval-suspended.57816/

Our fans on Radar give UNC a bad name. The NCAA JUST left town and the Raidarians are mocking Duke for academics. *eye roll* some people are too dumb to insult.
Yeah, I really just don't understand why any UNC fan would start talking crap about things like that. It's funny that something like that happened at duke, but I'm not going to berate duke fans about it because of everything that went down here.

I think it's dumb but I also think it is dumb for Duke fans to come on to a UNC board and start throwing out AFAM crap. The only thing that annoys me because it is hypocritical and lazy is the "Duval can't read" crap... anyone remember the "JR can't read" sign years ago that caused outrage among your fans?

there were 3 kids suspended, not just Duval, for skipping a class and tardiness. I don't see what the big deal is. If you never skipped a class in college then you're a better man than I am.

Yeah, if it's just a one time thing then I just look at it as a normal thing. I know I skipped class many times.

I thought college was for big boys and girls. Meaning, professors don't give a sh*t if you come to class or not. All they care about is the information being learned and the work getting done. If I can pass a class without ever attending, then good for me.

Skipping class in college...that's jokey.

I'm not wrong tho
No, you're not wrong.

My stance on non-alum fans has been clear: Some of the most passionate Tar Heel fans I know didn't go to school there. But.... if you didn't go to the school, do not mock the academics of another school's players. And also do not call out alumni for "not being fans" because that just makes you look like an idiot.

Ya, I was going to quote the "can't read" poast and admonish him, but I figured it wouldn't do any good. Did anyone do that? If not, I'll go do it.
