I don't see that happening. Roy isn't really recruiting Zion. He's just making it look that way for the fans and high school/AAU coaches. Roy would never take multiple OADs.
Possibly, but the comment was meant as a joke. Zion coming here would be yet another way to prove GSD is wrong. What I said is a slight exaggeration on what he has said in the past. It's a long running argument between him and people who are right.

Yeah Little is supposed to be OAD, I have an avatar bet with GSD over that actually. Regarding Zion... Smart money would be on UK or a school in SC, IMO.
I've been saying forever I think he ends up at SCar. Would be a really big boon for Martin. I hate SCar football, but I wouldn't mind seeing their basketball program get better to challenge Kentucky. The SEC desperately needs more programs good at hoops.

Yeah, that's what I thought. You have zero "facts". There are no facts to show. As I've said repeatedly when you attempt to debate this with me, this is subjective. Unless you're in the living room with Roy when he's doing home visits, then you have no proof. You have your opinion and I have mine. I don't care about yours but for some reason, you fixate on mine.
No Topps coach's son coaches Zion and said he wouldn't leave the state of South Carolina. UK has been on him hard for awhile and Drake plus hype makes me think UK. No inside information, just my opinion.
Jesus, I hope that's not the pitch he takes to top 10 recruits. If it is, it's no wonder we haven't had much success with them lately. He'd be wasting his time that could be spent recruiting other (lower ranked) kids that that speech might work on.
Seriously, telling a top 10 5-star to envision himself on senior night, when in his mind he'll have been in the NBA for 3 years at that point, is as antiquated a pitch as walking in there and saying "Look kid, you could be the one to lead us all the way to the championship game to take down Bill Russell and the San Francisco Dons".
Take it up with Roy. He's said that's what he tells the players he recruits. I didn't design his pitch. But I happen to like it.

But it's obviously not going to work for someone who fancies themselves a OAD (whether or not they'll actually be a OAD is irrelevant). Maybe that's by design though, if Roy wants to give the illusion of recruiting OADs without actually landing them... in that case he has the perfect pitch.
Bingo. I'm not saying that Roy won't take OAD kids. I've never said that. But the OAD kids he'll take will be the ones that lead Roy to believe they're not going to be OAD and the ones that understand the value of sending the message that school matters.
He should just save himself the wasted effort then though. Like rather than pitching Zion on an idea of waiting 4 years to get paid, something he'll never even consider, why not spend that time giving that speech to a kid in the 20-50 range that might actually think that's a good idea?
Here's the problem though. Roy recruits these one and done players harder than any other players he goes after. So, either Roy is the only person on earth that doesn't know these kids want to be OAD or he's just a bad recruiter who just recruits kids he doesn't really care about having at the expense of getting other players. That's the only way that train of thought works. In reality he just has a bad pitch for those types of players. He's not going to adjust his pitch for each recruit because I honestly think he thinks that it can work.
